Review of hotel Guy at check in was nice on Sunday night. I get to my room and notice lots of stains all over the floor. The bathroom ceiling was pealing and had stains on it. Also yellow stains behind the toilet. Bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I woke up to crickets in my dirty towels so when I left in the morning I asked they stopped by to pick up dirty towels and leave new ones. They said we don’t normally do house keeping. I said I don’t need house keeping just new towels and please take old ones. They finally agreed to and when I got back they did. Overall I wasn’t too impressed. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location, very safe and quiet. Hotel staff are all very nice. My only issue is the beds are awful, very bouncing and cause your back to ache the next day. My wife and kids love the new options for shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower area. I do enjoy staying here and I’m a Diamond member and I’ve stayed here many times, just need to change out beds for a better nights sleep. Brought family to Illinois State Fair and it’s within about 10 miles to the north.

Clean, nice location. Good breakfast and mgr special some evenings was great! All staff was welcoming. Only downgrade was a slow elevator.

First the good...Marina, at the front desk, is a star and great at her job, as is the rest of the staff. Hotel is good for a short overnight stay. But the property REALLY needs the coming renovation as the surfaces and room amenities are tired and worn. Needed a new tv remote and the bathroom (while clean) had linens that didn't smell fresh. Pool/Fitness room and bfast was great. Overall the best thing is the service. They're prompt, friendly and deserve a property they can be proud of.

If I could rate 4.5 stars, I would. The night staff was so friendly and funny! The hotel rooms were dated and showed some wear. The beds were clean and comfortable and I did enjoy their new line of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The breakfast was a standard setup but very well done and clean. There were lots of things to choose from, which was very nice bc I have some dietary needs. We had our two small dogs with us and they were very pet friendly with pet pickup stations nearby. We did find some ants in our room but that is a very tough battle in this area, I’ve heard. Overall a good stay.

The room was filthy and ran down. Cobwebs hanging on the walls and ceiling. Carpet badly stained. Broken light fixture in bathroom. The toilet paper holder was broken, so when ripping a piece off, the roll would go flying off the holder and unroll all over the floor. Dead bugs in the bathroom light. Tissue holder was absolutely disgusting. Im glad it got bumped and came open so we could see how gross it was before using a tissue. Service was good, but due to nasty condition of the room, we won't stay there again. Worst room I've ever stayed in.

I thought that this was a great hotel and I would stay again. We were traveling through Illinois and stopped here for the day to see the Abraham Lincoln Museum. I felt that my car was safe in the parking lot and I thought their breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly too.
